Some advice from Sentral on processing those requests...
SIFT THROUGH THE PAPERWORK
In the average 20 pages of a defense RFQ submission there are 2-3 with relevant data to estimate a quote. The rest are standards and regulations that are important for production but can overwhelm an engineer for the initial quote. Look for a drawing and a BOM. If you don’t have both those other 18 pages are meaningless.
BE PREPARED FOR ALTERNATE SUGGESTIONS
Parts go obsolete and standards change. Drawings that are only a few years old often have numerous parts which have gone obsolete or have been changed. Expect to get a quote back with some alternate suggestions. These are normal.DEMAND TEST DATA AND LOT CONTROL
